This cheese dip is perfect for parties, holidays, or just proving the point to your non-vegan friends that vegan food is the BOMB!
Every year on Christmas Eve we go to my mom’s house and stay the night. She always has a smorgasbord of food including this special dip that only gets made this one time a year. Last year we did not eat it because it contains animal products, but I was determined to veganize it and have it this year.
It’s easy to make and only requires 4 ingredients!
This recipe is so darn easy you’ll wonder why you haven’t made it for every get together, party, holiday, and Saturday night! Warning, it’s addictive!
All you need to do for this recipe is brown half a package of Gardein Beefless Ground over medium- high heat in a saucepan. Like I said in my previous post I like to char ours a little bit because it makes the taste even better. Once your beefless ground is brown turn down the heat to medium and add 1/2 can of diced tomatoes, 1/2 cup almond milk, and 1 package of Chao Cheese. When you add the cheese do not just throw it all in at once, that would take forever to melt. Instead, divide each slice and break it up a bit. You may notice you need more almond milk because it’s too thick, if so add 1/4 cup at a time. Once the cheese has melted completely remove from heat and serve immediately (as if you could wait for it to cool).
Now if you have waited until all the cheese has melted before tasting, congratulations! You are stronger than I am. I was already 5 chips deep before the cheese even melted all the way. Burned my tongue every time, but it was worth it. I have no regrets and you won’t either after you make this!
So thick and creamy!
